Bauhinia
This Bauhinia is a semi-deciduous sub-tropical variety with young growth and red flowers which appear after the leaves have fallen. Bauhinia  typically have two-lobed leaves which resemble the wings of butterflies hence it is often called a Butterfly Tree.  There are many varieties of this beautiful tree.

Dryandra is a genus of some 90 species which are only found in Western Australia.
They have stunning flowers, usually orange or yellow and very prickly leaves!

All Dryandras have now been placed in the Banksia genus but there are die hards who still name them in their original classification!  Dryandra nobilis subsp. fragrans is found in a very small area of the mid-west of WA.  It has a stunning flower and a beautiful fragrant scent.

The Granite Kunzea is found in much of the SW wheatbelt and as far east as Kalgoorlie.  As the name suggests, they are often found around granite outcrops.

A plant found mostly in arid areas of Australia although it is a relict species from warmer, moister climate and vegetation.  Being from the caper family, the fruit is edible with sweet smelling orange pulp.
